  1. IN LOVECRAFT'S SHADOW: Icons - Four spot drawings in black ink and black color pencil on an 11 x 14 size coquille board. They appear in "In Lovecraft's Shadow," by August Derleth.

    Icons, or "spot drawings" as they are also called, can be used to enhance the esthetic appeal of a book. Editor Joe Wrzos did a good job of distributing these icons on pages that had empty spaces.
